Being a Volunteer 'Screamer' @ 8tv Shout Award 2012

This will be the most special and unforgetable voluntary work experience to me, i do not know that shouting, screaming, jumping up and down like monkey, pretending that u like those artists so much but actually not and being on tv can be part of the tasks of a volunteer until the last friday =.= yes i was involved in a volunteer team for helping out the 8tv shout award and surprisingly, my job is nothing but a regular 'screamer' XD

Tuck Kee Restaurant @ Jln Yau Tet Shin, The Best Moonlight Fried Kuey Teow in Ipoh

Located at a nostalgia busy street of the 'mountain town', Tuck Kee has satisfied the stomach of Malaysian foodie folks over the past few decades with their famous wat tan hor and yut kong hor (月光河), the 'moonlight' fried kuey teow XD The misleading fact is that there is another 'sibling' restaurant called 'sun tuck kee' located exactly on the same row with this restaurant, but according to my mum, this shop was the most 'primeval' one. however, i gotta put a disclaimer on this statement, it may not be necessary the truth.

While waiting for their 'wall of fame' moonlight fried noodle to be served, dont hesitate to try out the boiled baby octopus which drizzled with soy sauce, fried garlic oil, spring onion, and some crispy fried garlic bits accompanied with their in-house special chili sauce.

Another impressive appetizer would be this braised pheonix claw, basically the gelatinuos chicken feets braised to infuse flavour of anise and other seasoning and achieve a succelent fall-off-the-bone texture! decently palatable!!

Hokkien style fried noodle and meehoon, a pretty average one out of all

Here comes their too-bad-to-miss moonlight fried kuey teow! cracked raw eggs placed on top of the fried kuey teow and mixed it up as fast as possible while the kuey teow still bubbling hot, taste the joy and satisfaction in every spoonful, yummy!!!

it might looks messy but trust me, this plate of blackish soupy thingy is just too good to be ignored!

Fat Spoon Café @ Damansara Uptown, sharing the grandma's recipes

My childhood was the time when i was innocent, when my universe was surrounded by my barbie dolls, when i know nothing about the truths of life and just played hard and laughed hard like an idiot. . . . . . . . . . . .  while i know my chilhood will never come back, at least i can get pleasure from owner's favourite grandma recipes while glancing through items that bring back my chilhood memories in this retro feeling restaurant = D

using recycled storybooks as menu, such a creative and fabulous idea = D

Ice-blended passionfruit for RM9.90, an exotic tropical fruit drink cools u down in hot weather

Steamed Chicken with Spicy Lime & Coriander Dressing (RM11.90), fat spoon version of thai chicken rice served with bean sprouts and homemade lemongrass soup, it might looks boring with its unexciting colour but taste unexpectedly appetizing and flavourful.

Dry Spicy Beef Macaroni (RM11.90), dry version of fat spoon's signature spicy beef macaroni garnished with coriander & topped with a medium-boiled egg, a comforting bowl of macaroni matched surprisingly well with the minced beef which has a spicy hint on it, asian-infused pasta does work.

like i always did, luv to shoot the beauty of the golden runny egg yolk XD

Nasi Kampung (RM14.90), fat sppon special platter with curry chicken, tamarind prawns, belacan long beans, salted egg & pappadum served with steamed rice, honestly tastes pretty normal to me, nothing more than an ordinary curry chicken rice

Warm melting Red Velvet Cake (RM9.90), this cake fascinated me with its moist melt-in-ur mouth soft texture!! combine with the silky smooth cream cheese frosting........is just heavenly!!

Welcum ♥

SoPoong 소풍@ Berjaya Times Square

Sopoong, which means 'picnic' in korea, a trivial yet welcuming korean restaurant located at the lowest floor of times square. The restaurant mainly catering to the younger generation and thus offering traditional and fusion korean foods with relatively low prices as compared with other korean restaurant while maintaining certain level of quality of the foods. But bear in mind that u are getting what u pay for, so dont be too demanding on the presentation as well as the quality of the dishes with such reasonable prices.

A table of Korean goodness

Jjajangmyun (RM13.90), popular Korean style noodles derived from the Chinese dish '炸酱面', basically is noodles with black soybean sauce and some minced chicken and carrot. It tastes neither sweet nor salty but weird to me, im definitely not a fans of it > <

Pajeon (RM11.90), Korean style pancake with squid and spring onion served with soy-vinegar dipping sauce. Fancy looking dish with crispy edges and packed quite a heat punch with fresh vege and seafood embedded inside, recommended!!

Dakgalbi, stir fried marinated diced chicken, korean rice cake, glass noodle and vegetable with chilli paper paste on a hot grill. Small portion for RM15.90 with one steamy hot white rice and large for RM35.90 with two rice. Glass noodle soak up all the flavour and goodness of the sauce along with tender juicy chicken..........sluuuuururp! its just heavenly!!

Kimchi Jeon (RM10.90), another version of korean pan fried pancake with kimchi and vegetable, assuredly is one of the most common and popular dish you will find at any Korean restaurant

Kimbab (RM7.50), Korean dried seaweed rolls, steamed white rice and various other fresh ingredients such as cucumbers, carrots, eggs, luncheon meat-thingy, and pickled radish rolled in dried seaweed and served in bite size slices.

love it, will definitely come back again!!

The Bee @ Publika, your favourite neighbourhood comfort food

A comfy and warm place to enjoy affortable neighbourhood foods and quality coffee located in a cosy corner of mont kiara. Nothing better than sharing laughing and giggling in a relaxing dining place during a cloudy breezy afternoon.

the coffee lovers' corner

The signature Bee Burger for RM23.50, Italian turkey bacon, melted cheese, pickled cucumber, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and house-made garlic aioli on a freshly baked artisanal white roll, simple yet a classic fuss-free comfort food

Benedict Savoury French Toast (RM21), moist french toast served with poached egg, baby asparagus, rocket salad and hollandaise sauce topped with crispy beef bacon, the toast tastes pretty bland and tasteless by itself, the one from s.wine is much more tastier and worth the price

A perfectly cooked poached egg!! yum~~~

Piccolo Latte (RM7), a ristretto shot topped with warm, silky milk served in a
small latte glass, basically is a baby-sized latte

Churros (RM9), classic spanish pastry served with either extra thick caramel, hershey's chocolate ganache or nutella

Deep fried pastry strips coated with sugar and cinnamon, guiltily good but best to share between three or four
